Description
For sale: A lovely brown and white medium sized jug with cut/pressed diagonal running sprigged leaf and grooved decoration. A fine quality hand thrown studio ceramics by potter Sim Wood at his former pottery in Trevillador, St Issey near Wadebridge in north Cornwall. His pottery production I do believe was mostly produced during the 1970's but no actual date the pottery started production or when the pottery closed.
The pot is applied with two tone glazes on a fine stoneware body including a lovely handle with thumb grip, very good comfortable when holding which is very important when making quality standard kitchenware ceramics.
A very fine piece of quality hand crafted and hand thrown Cornish pottery & ceramics.
Materials Used: Clay, Stoneware, Drip Glazes.
Uses: Kitchen, Milk, Water, Drink Ware.
Country Made: UK, British Made.
Signed: SW Stamped Mark, Sim Wood.
Condition: Like New/Used.
Approx. Size/Dim: 5 inch (12.2 cm) High x 4 inch (10.2 cm) Wide x 5.5 inch (13.9 cm) from pouring lip to back of handle.
