Very early scarce (Kat) Katrina Livesey porcelain studio pottery teacup, (now married as Katrina Wheeler) and the cup was made at Leach pottery St Ives, circa 2009-2010. Kat left the Leach pottery and opened her own studio at the Gaolyard in St Ives in Cornwall.
The cup is decorated in soda glaze/copper slip on porcelain. The KL stamped mark she used when she was still Kat Livesey, before getting married. Very faint St Ives stamp (please see last picture).
Kat is American and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains. In 2008, she received a BFA in ceramics from the Appalachian Center for Crafts at Tennessee Technology University.
