Description
Vintage Foster's Pottery tankard with hand painted fish design in coloured drip glazes and made at there original factory at West Tolgus in Redruth Cornwall (Ceased Production 1990's). These are very scarce limited or commissioned studio pieces dating from 1970's to 1980's. There studio range output was very small compared to the domestic mass produced honeycomb range and souvenir wares.
Foster's pottery did produce hand thrown pots, but most output was all made in moulds/molds and hand decorated. This tankard is a very rare collectors piece, and so far I have not seen anymore like it on the market.
Materials Used: Clay, White Earthenware, Coloured Drip Glazes.
Uses: Tableware, Drinkware, Decorative Ornaments.
Country Made: Handmade Cornwall UK.
Date Made: Circa 1970's-1980's
Condition: Excellent with some natural crazing, no cracks or chips.
Approx. Size/Dim: 5.5" (14 cm) high x 4.5" (11.5 cm) wide x 5.5" (14 cm) front of tankard to back of handle.
Shipping: Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed Medium Parcel UK Only.
