Description
Very early decorated Ruth Pavely Poole pottery small jug with rare Portuguese purple/mauve stripe pattern. Possibly by James Radley Young or adapted at this time by Truda Adams. and hand painted by Ruth Pavely. Lovely rare collectors piece.
Materials: Red Clay, Earthenware, Slip Glazes.
Uses: Milk, Cream, Decorative, Display Ornaments.
Date: Circa 1922-24.
Decorator: Ruth Pavely.
Condition: Excellent used, natural crazing, one pop in the body glaze and possibly a trial piece going by the base info.
Approx. Size/Dim: 3 inches (7.6 cm) high x 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide x 3.25 inches (8.5 cm) in depth from pouring lip to back of handle.
