Description
Lovely set of six British studio pottery cups/mugs for taking tea, coffee or chocolate. Decorated with a dark to light brown Tenmoku tone glazes fired on fine stoneware body. Looking at the design they look of Leach style and possibly made in Cornwall or handmade at an Abbey pottery somewhere in the UK, British Isles.
There are cross stamped marks on all wares and what look like Celtic Crosses. I have listed these as British pottery. All hand thrown and well made quality pieces. Please Note: Each piece is handmade individually and varies slightly in colour and glazing as with all studio pottery.
Medium: Studio Ceramics, Stoneware, Tenmoku glazes.
Uses: Kitchen Dining, Dining Serving, Drinkware, Tea-Coffee.
Country/Origin: British/Cornish, Handmade in the UK.
Pottery Marks: Yes, Unknown Stamps.
Condition: Excellent new unused, as with most studio ceramics there are light firing pops in the glaze on an odd cup.
Approx. Size/Dim: 3 inch ( 7.6 cm) high x 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) wide x 4.5 inch (11.4 cm) in depth from front to back of handle.
